History of the Yorkipoo

The Yorkipoo is a relatively new breed of dog; they were first bred in the United States in the 1970s. Since then, they have become increasingly popular as companion animals thanks to their small size, low shedding coats, and friendly dispositions. Today, these dogs are found all over the world - and their popularity just keeps growing!

Appearance

Yorkipoos are small dogs, typically weighing between 4 and 10 pounds. They have medium-length coats that can be either straight or curly; most have brown or black fur, although some may have white markings. They have long snouts and floppy ears, and their tails are usually docked. Overall, they resemble miniature versions of their Yorkshire Terrier ancestors.

Our Yorkipoo, Little Bit, Sleeping In Her Food Bowl!

We have owned a yorkipoo name Little Bit for over 13 years now. She's one of our senior cititzens at our home - and she is a character. This is her, sleeping in a dog bowl. I guess she didn't want to miss her next meal!

We also call her "The Weasel" because she is very nosey and gets into everything - a lot like a weasel. Silly dog! She has been very healthy for us her whole life until just recently she grew a tumor in her mammary glands. But, she had a very successful surgery to remove it - and she is back to her normal self.

Temperament

Yorkipoos are loving and affectionate dogs that enjoy spending time with their families. They are intelligent and easily trained; in fact, many owners say that their Yorkipoos seem to understand what they're saying better than other breeds of dog! Because of their small size, these dogs do well in apartments or homes with limited yard space - but they still need plenty of exercise to stay healthy and happy. If you're looking for a low-maintenance but loving companion animal, a Yorkipoo is the perfect choice.
